[EN · Round 1 review] Our Venice sits on the third floor of a historic palazzo. There is no lift, and the stairs are steep — we say so plainly, because Venice is chosen knowingly. But those who reach the top find a home that speaks the city's language: dark exposed beams, Istrian stone in the niches, balustrade windows looking onto a calle.
[EN · Round 1 review] A large photographic print of San Marco is the signature of the house. It returns in the living room, the master bedroom, the hall — a quiet presence, almost a family portrait. Red is the other thread: on the master bed platform, on the bar stools, in the finishes. It is a contemporary Venice, but rooted, cared for in the details, warm in its materials.

[EN · Round 1 review] The dark beams run through almost every room — old, original, part of the palazzo's structure. We chose to leave them as they are, not to cover them. They tell the age of the house better than any piece of furniture, and every time you look up, you are in Venice.

[EN · Round 1 review] The master bed has a red platform base, a gold mirror above the headboard, a stone niche with a lantern, and a balustrade iron window looking into Venice. It is the most remembered room in the house — and the most photographed by our guests.

[EN · Round 1 review] A large black-and-white photograph of San Marco, returning in the living room and more than one other space. In the evening we backlight it in teal, and it becomes something else — a detail that changes the house with the hour. It is our way of keeping the piazza at home.

Camp Santi Filippo e Giacomo è una bella piazza alla fine della strada con ristoranti e altri servizi (Conca D'Oro forse la scelta migliore). Grazie a Valentina per averci aiutato dopo l'orario di lavoro con domande sul riscaldamento: funziona davvero!”
